Hooray For Humans
Well we've been playing their brilliant single 'Signature' for months in the club now so why not invite them along to play. Thankfully they agreed, the rest of the album is great too and they are fab live, so clearly we're thrilled to have them on board!

UCC Choral Society UCC Choral Society performed 2 years ago for us at our Christmas bash and we were so impressed we've been trying to get them back ever since. They have something very different in store for our 14th Birthday so take our advice, don't miss it!

The bands playing in no particular order of genius include!

Random Friend Selecter
Random Friend Selecter is a new pop-rock outfit from Cork. Immediately catchy and deceptively simple, the songs are bursting with melody and harmony, hooks and dynamic shifts. Renowned troubadour/guitarist David Nelligan takes the lead. Keyboards from Áine O'Gorman add yet another dimension, underpinned skilfully by the rhythm section, bassist Paddy Rahilly and drummer Ruth Gordon.

Snowman
Snowman
Snowman hail from Cork and the band is made up of Shane Clancy (lead vocals), James Breen (guitar & vocals), Keith Clancy (bass & vocals) and Craig Cullen (drums). Snowman's sound is very eclectic thanks to the many different influences that drive the members of the band, (At the drive-in, Biffy Clyro, Sigor Ros, Flaming Lips, Queens of the Stone Age, Talking heads, Soundgarden...).

My Evil Ex
My Evil Ex
Press release: Born and bred in these despairingly bland times, My Evil Ex lash out and create their own unique offering 'the stab of 70's Punk, the thrust of 50's Jazz and the scream of 30's Delta Blues'. Described as "Punk goes to New Orleans", the band recently released their new EP 'The Dark Days'. The four-tracker features lyrics as snappy as the dialogue of a Tarantino film, music that's as spiky as punk and deceptively sweet vocals. My Evil Ex are known and respected on the live circuit for shows that are always tight, energetic and entertaining and have played support to such diverse groups as JJ72 and Vinny Peculiar (containing Andy Rourke and Mike Joyce of The Smiths). They have also played the Cork leg of the 2fm 2moro 2our and are the only band to perform at the Freakscene Birthday Party for a consecutive four years.

Carbon Copy
Formed in 2004 when asked to play a charity gig as a favour for a friend, Carbon Copy have been an active part of the Cork music scene ever since. The band consists of Cian Mc Sweeny on guitar and vocals, Dave Walsh on Bass, Rory Clune on keyboards, guitar and backing vocals and Vincent Power on drums. The widespread enthusiastic reaction to the bands initial original material prompted them to continue writing. Carbon Copy have gained a reputation as an energetic and exciting live act and recently won the UCC Battle of the Bands. The music incorporates a divine range of styles from heartfelt melodies to edgy rock songs, and much more in between.
