In the Ghetto!
(Slideshow - Keep cursor off image)
You know someone once said that the world is a stage and each must play it's part. One of Cork's biggest Elvis fans, Alan Fadd, took the Elvis/Shakespeare line all too literally when the 25th anniversary of the King's death coincided
with Planet of Sound closing for renovations. Poor Mr. Fadd thought it was a sign from the great man himself and that it was his duty to prove that the King was alive and well. So with the help of DJ Emmett he rode into the club on a bike singing 'Love me Tender' on a radio mic, before performing a medley of indie/alternative tunes in the style of the King. Predictably some of the young dudes didn't appreciate the second coming of the King and jeered him with shouts of 'wanker'. Unfamiliar with the term and unphased, the King rocked on finishing with a tribute to the regulars with a sample of the 'Wonder of You' before driving off into the sunset.
